Installation of Hobart laser end stop (or Magic Eye) is an electronic interrupted cut-off device, electric laser based end stop for rack conveyor dishwashers.

Tools Required

• Drill
• 20mm Hole Saw for Metal
• 6mm HSS drill-bits
• Side Cutters
• Wire Strips
• Pozi 2 Screwdriver
• Slotted Terminal Screwdriver

Parts Required

• Laser End stop kit, made up of;
  • Switching Power Supply
  • Modular Timer
  • Laser PNP Sensor
  • Cable for PNP Sensor
  • Protective Housing
• Cable
• 2 x Wago 221-413

Time to Complete

For first time installation of the Magic Eye, it could take about 2 hours and 30 minutes, as you familiarise yourself with the product. With help from this guide, we expect that it can be completed in about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Installation

1. Isolate the appliance, by either unplugging the appliance or if it is hardwired turn the rotary switch to '0' or 'off', and lock off the switch or plug with a suitable lock-out device.
2. Remove the front panel from the appliance using a slotted screwdriver. Be sure to hold the bottom of the front panel, so that it does not to drop and damage the front. Pull the panel away, but be aware that the control panel will remain connected to the main body of the appliance.
3. Perform a Safe Isolation Test on the appliance to confirm that it is completely turned off and safe to work on.

Testing

If it doesn't go bang when turned on, and stops when a tray is in front of the sensor. It'll be all good.
